Smiler issued to celebrate village cricket at the start of a new season. The grass roots of our national summer game.
Around the country the crack of leather on willow will mingle with summer sounds punctuated by the chiming of the church clock.
The exclusive painting on this smiler was commissioned for Old Cricket Club in Northamptonshire. Entering it's 140th year with a new clubhouse facility it epitomises tradition and competitive sportmanship. Very "Middle England" in a variety of ways. The painting depicts players and official getting the ground ready for that important first match.
