First day cover for Royal Mail's 'Ocean Liner' stamp issue with 1965 QE2 stamp added. Cover design features new Queen Mary 2 and unique cancels.
The cover was originally issued for "Cruise Control" one of the UK's leading cruise agencies. The company is no longer in existence so we have taken 200 of the remaining covers and added a mint 1965 QE2 stamp. The stamp has been cancelled for 5 July 1965 (when the keel was laid) using the ship's job number. This provides collectors and cruise fans wih a rare little piece of cruising history.
The combination of two famous "Queens" and the other liners featured on the stamps makes for a very collectable combination.
